Career Institute Mission
The mission of the New England Casino Career Institute (NECCI) is to provide individuals with the technical knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to become successful in the growing gaming industry. NECCI will create a positive and professional atmosphere where students can learn, gain confidence and develop their skills at a pace that works best for them. Our goal is to produce highly qualified candidates with a competitive edge over their peers; our graduates should not only be able to break into the gaming industry but also have the proper foundation to ascend the career ladder.

GEORGE AGGANIS - Founder
Professional Background:
- 18-year career in the casino industry
- B.S in Gaming Management from UNLV
- M.S in Hospitality Administration from UNLV
- Former Director of Operations at Chasers Poker Room
- Part of the opening team at Encore Boston Harbor & Managed the largest poker room in the country.
- Has dealt multiple feature and final table events at the World Series of Poker
- Former Professor at Endicott College, teaching Casino Management
- Has taught and trained over 500 students/employees in the art of casino dealing.

ERIC SHUKAN - Instructor
Professional Background:
Eric graduated from MIT in 1989 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Bored in engineering, Eric switched to teaching Physics and Mathematics at Woburn Memorial High School.
Eric recently retired from public education after 25 years; he runs a private tutoring business and plays poker semi-professionally.
Eric analyzed the game of Blackjack in great detail while at MIT and beyond. Putting his teaching skills into practice, he has taught several people how to play and count. He played Blackjack professionally through 2003, after which he retired from the game due to being barred from more than 15 casinos in the US. Even Foxwoods finally got him in 2016.
Known as “The Toucan,” Eric has had a successful 35-year card-playing career in Blackjack, Bridge, and Poker, and he has teamed up with NECCI to provide a Blackjack card counting class for players and casino personnel. Join us!
